Privacy & help
How this planner handles your information, and what it can and cannot do.
How your entries are handled
Guest mode by default — no account, no servers, no tracking.
- As a guest, your entries are kept only in this open browser tab, in memory. There is no
localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, analytics, ad pixels, session replay, or field capture. Nothing is sent to a server or saved to your device. - Closing or refreshing this tab can lose unsaved work. There is no automatic recovery. A reload guard may warn you, but it never auto-saves or uploads anything.
- If you create an optional account, you can save named drafts to it. Saving is always a manual action — it never happens automatically, and signing in never uploads your current tab. “Clear current draft” clears only the tab; deleting a saved account draft is a separate, confirmed action.
- No drafts are ever appended to a URL, link, or message. Nothing is shared with the firm, the other party, or anyone else through this tool.
Optional account storage
What changes when you sign in — and what does not.
- An account is optional. It stores named drafts you choose to save, each with a revision number for safe concurrent saves. Your entries are tied to your verified account identity, not a caller-supplied ID.
- Authorised platform and service administrators may have access to account data as part of operating and backing up the service. This tool does not provide end-to-end secrecy, legal privilege, or a guarantee that account data is inaccessible to administrators.
- Marketing permission is not required to save a draft. Saving a draft is not a legal enquiry and is not a delivery to the legal team.
- You can export an encrypted backup, delete a saved draft, delete your account, or sign out at any time (see below). Account deletion is an active deletion of your planner data; it is separate from provider backup retention, which may persist for a period as part of normal operations.
What this tool does
An organiser to help you prepare.
- Helps you gather and structure information for divorce/family-law advice and mediation.
- Provides a document checklist and suggested consultation questions you can edit.
- Calculates monthly equivalents of your expenses and an optional income comparison.
- Produces a reviewable preparation summary you can print or save as a PDF.
What this tool does not do
It is not a legal engine.
- It does not calculate legal response deadlines, maintenance awards, settlement entitlements or accrual claims.
- It does not determine whether mediation is suitable for you.
- It does not generate binding legal documents, and your entries are not reviewed by an attorney. Any legal wording you type stays a draft until actual review is recorded.
- It does not upload documents, provide an AI legal adviser, or share a workspace with anyone else.
- It does not send automatic messages or collect payments.
Encrypted backup file
A passphrase-encrypted .hra file, separate from an optional account.
How this differs from a readable PDF
A readable PDF (from the Preparation pack) is plain text anyone can open. An encrypted .hra backup can only be read with the passphrase you choose — so keep it safe. There is no passphrase recovery.
Import a backup file
Decrypt a .hra file and replace the entries in this tab. The file is never uploaded.
Importing never uploads the file. A wrong passphrase or a tampered file cannot be read. Cancellation preserves your current entries.
Readable PDF vs encrypted backup
Two different things.
- A readable PDF (from the Preparation pack) is plain text anyone can open. It is suitable for reading or taking to a consultation.
- An encrypted
.hrabackup can only be read with the passphrase you choose. It is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM — but it is not end-to-end Cloud-encrypted, and there is no passphrase recovery. - Neither output is automatically sent to the firm or any storage bucket. Exports and account saves are separate actions.
What to avoid entering
Protect yourself and others.
- Do not enter children's names or identity numbers — a count is enough.
- Do not enter bank account numbers.
- Avoid detailed, sensitive incident narratives; keep notes brief and factual.
- You can leave any field blank.
Contacting the firm
Contact actions appear only when you choose to see them.
